I’m preparing for a blog contest about Julia Child’s chef. And as yesterday I was watching the movie Julie&Julia, I love it by the way, I thought that it would be fun to try my first video and make a small reference to Julia Child. The lasagne are not from her recipe, I just wanted to eat lasagne today so I thought let’s go for it.
It’s been ages since I didn’t do lasagne actually and they were just yummy.
What do you need?
- Lasagne sheet
- 1 small carrot
- 1 onion
- 1 garlic clove
- 1l of Tomato sauce
- 45g of butter
- 45g of flour
- 700ml of full fat milk
- Celeri
- 500g of mince beef
- 1dl of white wine
- 1dl of milk
- oregano, salt, black pepper
Cut the onions and the carrot and stir in olive oil for 5mn
Add the mince beef and stir in for 7mn and add the white wine. Continue to stir for 4mn and add the milk, salt, oregano and black pepper. Finally add the tomato sauce
Let it cook at low fire for about 45mn
Meanwhile prepare the béchamel sauce. Heat up the milk in a pan. In an other pan, melt the the butter, once melted, remove from the fire and add the flour in one go and stir with a whip until you get a smooth texture. Add the hot milk and put back on the fire and cook for 5mn without stopping to whip. Add a bit of salt and black pepper.
Finally, take a baking tray (square one will be easier). Butter the tray, add a layer of pasta, bolognese, pasta, béchamel, bolognese, pasta, béchamel, bolognese, pasta, bolognese and finally some grated cheese on top.
Cook for about 35mn at 200° with the fan.
